Neck pain is commonly caused by cervical spinal stenosis. It occurs when the vertebrae of the neck and the joints between them change. As bone spurs form, cervical spinal stenosis occurs. As bone spurs grow, the spinal canal narrows, putting pressure on the spinal cord and nerves.

The cause of cervical spinal stenosis is spinal degeneration. Discs lose water content as they degenerate. Our discs become brittle and dry as we age, causing the disc space between our vertebrae to collapse. During this collapse, extra pressure is placed on the joints behind the spinal cord, and the tunnel where spinal nerves exit becomes narrower.

Here at Gramercy Pain Center, we offer safe and effective treatments for clients suffering from cervical spinal stenosis.
